The evening event, at the home Dr. Stephen and Ann Endsley, includes a social hour and a dessert auction. Guest author Black, of San Francisco, has made Paris the backdrop of the 12 books in her Aimée Leduc series. The main character is a savvy American-Parisian private investigator who inherited her father’s investigation agency.
The Stanislaus Library Foundation, organized in 1994, provided $35,700 this year for children’s and teenagers’ library summer reading programs in Stanislaus County. Additionally, the foundation has contributed $20,000 toward the e-books program that is expected to be available through county libraries in the next few months.
Author’s Garden Gala tickets are $150 per person. Reservations are requested by Aug. 14. The proceeds of the evening will benefit all 13 branches of the Stanislaus County Library.
