Those who want to examine the local government’s budget among city officials have their chance. The city of Patterson is looking for two regular citizens to serve on a new budget committee.
The committee, which will also include two council members, will advise the council on budget priorities and will have the most impact on the 2011-12 fiscal budget. The 2010-11 budget needs to be finalized by June 30.
Applications can be found on the city’s website, www.ci.patterson.ca.us, in the menu titled “Documents and Forms Library.” They are also available at City Hall, 1 Plaza, in Patterson.
The deadline to submit applications to the City Clerk is Tuesday, June 15, at 5 p.m. They can be turned in at City Hall or e-mailed to cityclerk@ci.patterson.ca.us.
