Carolyn D. McConnell, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Dec. 8, 2013 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. Mrs. McConnell was born on Sept. 10, 1926 in Stockton to Frank E. and Elsie E. Davis. She is the granddaughter of Robert T. and Mary Melton early settlers of Ripon.

Mrs. McConnell was raised in Stockton until 1941 when her family moved to Lafayette where she graduated from Acalanes High School. She graduated from Stockton Junior College in 1946 and attended the College of the Pacific. Mrs. McConnell lived in Patterson for 60 years where she was active in many social and civic organizations.

Her husband of 64 years John “Jack” McConnell, daughters, Robin McConnell and Nancy Miller, son-in-law Christopher Miller and grandsons, Andrew Miller and Robert Miller, survives Mrs. McConnell.

The funeral service was conducted at the Turlock Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 425 Soderquist Road, Turlock at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013.

Instead of flowers the family asks donors to consider contributions to Community Hospice Foundation, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356-9259
