Patterson residents Antonio Camacho, Mia Brudnicki, Dennis McCord and Sheree Lustgarden also registered with the city, and McCord has filed the necessary forms to be considered a candidate.
The first day to pick up paperwork was July 16. Prospective candidates have until 5 p.m. Aug. 10, a Friday, to file to run, unless at least one incumbent does not apply for re-election. In that case, all nonincumbent candidates have an extra five days to file paperwork.
While Farinha and Molina have pulled papers to run, Councilwoman Annette Smith, whose term also expires this year, has not. She indicated last week that she was exploring her options about running for another term.
