WHERE: Patterson neighborhoods
DETAILS: Patterson volunteer firefighters are chauffeuring Santa Claus through local neighborhoods via fire truck. As of press time, Santa was scheduled to visit neighborhoods south of Sperry Avenue today, Dec. 6, the Heartland Ranch subdivision on Friday, Dec. 7, and the Walker Ranch subdivision on Saturday, Dec. 8. Santa will accept donations of toys along his route to give to children in need in the area. A Facebook page set up by local firefighters will provide updates on Santa’s visits to town.

Scrapbooking group

DETAILS: Patterson residents are invited to attend a meeting of Scrappin’ in Patterson, a scrapbooking group coordinated by the library . Crafters can take their own materials and work on ongoing projects, and newcomers can learn how to get started.

Eight reindeer on stage
WHEN: 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13; continues through Dec. 22
WHERE: Clara Johnson Auditorium at Patterson High, 200 N. Seventh St.
DETAILS: Patterson Repertory Theatre will present “The Eight Reindeer Monologues,” written by Jeff Goode and directed by Joshua Morriston. The play, for mature audiences only, features reindeer unafraid to speak their minds about Christmas. Shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays until Dec. 22 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16.
COST: $10 general admission, $8 for seniors and students.
