Hill said Wednesday, Feb. 6 that rumors had been flying around the school and the community for two days about a school shooting being planned.
After an exhaustive two-day investigation, Hill said there was no evidence of a potential shooting. The rumors stemmed from a discussion that one student had with another student who had bullied him, he said.
An additional Patterson deputy was posted outside the school Wednesday to answer any questions that parents had regarding the matter. Hill said no threat existed after his investigation was complete.
