Free programs abound at library

The Patterson Branch Library has announced a number of free programs for families.

• English Talk Time from 10 a.m. to noon each Wednesday from June 5 to July 31. This free program will enables participants to improve their speaking and listening skills in an English conversation group. Sandy Luna leads facilitation. Registration is not required.

• Family Movie at 2 p.m. on June 15. “Wings of Life” will be shown. This documentary film gives viewers a close-up look at the intricate lives of bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and bats. Friends of the Patterson Library will provide the refreshments.

• Teen Movie at 4 p.m. on June 26. “Rise of the Technovore” will be shown.

n Magic Show at 1 p.m. on June 27. Magician Timothy James will perform a 45-minute program for the entire family.

• Day of Play at Noon to 1:30 p.m. on June 29. Children can enjoy games and sports at the library and it is free to all.

The Patterson Branch Library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 5 pm on Thursday and Saturday; closed on Friday and Sunday.
