Halseth is Week 2 winner

Patterson’s Ken Halseth picked winners in eight of 11 NFL games and nine of 11 college games during Week 2 of the Irrigator’s football contest to win $25.

Adam Verhaegen of Patterson won a gift basket from Greg Nunes Realty with his tie-breaker prediction of Patterson High defeating Kimball High of Tracy, 28-21.The Tigers defeated Kimball 28-19 last week.

Patterson's Lee Willard and Alisha Deselms predicted the same tiebreaker score, but Verhaegen broke the tie by tallying the most correct picks on regular games for the week.

Entries are due at the Patterson Irrigator, 26 N. Third St., by 5 p.m. Friday, or must be postmarked by 5 p.m.

The football contest wraps up the weekend of Nov. 15.
