JV Tigers win, varsity teams lose first WAC meet

The Patterson High track and field teams opened the 2013 Western Athletic Conference season at home March 13 against Central Valley High of Ceres.

The Patterson boys team dropped a 71-64 decision to the visiting Central Valley Hawks, while the girls team lost 71-57.

The junior varsity Tigers, however, swept the visitors.

The JV boys team collected a 84-26 win to topple the Hawks, while the girls team won 11-3.
