Library offers free programs to all

The no-cost October programs at the Patterson Branch Library offers something for everyone in the family this holiday season. Local residents are urged to stop by the library at 46 N. Salado Ave. and take part in some of the offerings that follow:

• Tuesdays at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. until Nov. 26: Preschool Story Time Fall Session for children ages 3 to 5 years old. Youngsters must be accompanied by an adult for stories, songs and puppet plays. There will be time afterwards to borrow books to read at home.

• Saturday, Oct. 5: Family Movie “Hotel Transylvania” at 2 p.m. The Friends of the Patterson Library will provide light refreshments.

• Monday, Oct. 8: Friends of the Patterson Library meeting at 1:30 p.m.

• Tuesday, Oct 9: Children's Craft, “Make a paper bag monster” at 3:30 p.m. Materials are provided.

• Saturday, Oct. 12: Scrappin' in Patterson from 12 Noon to 4:45 p.m. Those who enjoy scrap booking are invited to bring their latest projects to work on with other scrapbook hobbyists.

• Wednesday, Oct 16 Teen Game Night at 4 p.m. Teenagers are invited to get together with friends, play games and have fun.

• Wednesday, Oct 30: Halloween Program at 3:30 p.m. Those who attend are invited to wear a Halloween costume.
