The Crows Landing-based chapter of Mothers of Preschoolers will meet with and register new members from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Harvest Community Church, 225 E. Fifth St., in Crows Landing.

Mothers of newborns through 6-year-olds and pregnant women living on the West Side are invited to stop by and see what the group is about. Children may accompany their mothers as they mingle and share snacks and coffee.

M.O.P.S. meets at the church the first and third Tuesdays of each month during the school year.

M.O.P.S. is an international organization that has been helping mothers cope for about 30 years, and the local chapter has been active in Crows Landing for two years. The group aims to encourage and support mothers of preschoolers and realize each mother’s potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ. The organization is open to families of all faiths.

For information: Harvest Community Church, 837-4828; or Esmerelda Sinclair, 607-0128.
