A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Maria “Lupe” G. Correa, 69, of Patterson, who died Friday, Nov. 22 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Mrs. Correa was born in Weslaco, Texas and was a resident of Patterson for 52 years. She was a seasonal farm worker for 14 years and a homemaker. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. She enjoyed going to casinos and playing bingo. She loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Correa is survived by her sons, Joe Correa of Weslaco, Texas, Richard Correa of Patterson; daughter, Anita Munoz of Ceres; brothers, Roman Flores of Mexico, Gil Flores of San Antonio, Texas, Nabor Flores of Frankfurt, IN; sisters, Bernie Martinez, Lilia Gonzalez and Mercedes Flores, all of Mexico; five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Her husband, Joe M. Correa, who died in 2006, preceded her in death.

A visitation was observed from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., Patterson. Burial was at Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Highway 33, Patterson.
