In July, I wrote to Mayor Luis Molina with a complaint about the lack of service to the alleys on the south end of town. I rode through all of the alleys and discovered that they were in deplorable condition. I received a response from city personnel indicating that they had been redone at the time and that all of the new sewer lines were put in, but as I told Mayor Molina, that kind of damage does not happen overnight. The alleys had huge holes and very little gravel.
I reiterated this issue to the mayor on Sept. 15. He promised to look into it again.
On Friday, Oct. 5, I took a ride on the south end of town, and to my pleasant surprise, the alleys now look as good as the alleys on the north end of town. Thank you, Mayor Molina. You always had my vote, but now my respect continues to grow. I want to publicly state that I am voting for one incumbent and two non-incumbents. Perhaps council members who previously spent too much of Patterson’s limited resources on attorneys to defend their fragile egos should take note.
