The annual contest will take place on Apricot Fiesta weekend Friday, May 30.
Miss Patterson and her court represent Patterson throughout the year at fairs, dinners, ribbon cuttings, and other events. Contestants also perform community service locally.
Young women ages 17 to 19 (or age 16 if a junior in high school) who are students of the Patterson Joint Unified School District are invited to enter.
Contestants must never have been married or had a child.
Contestants must be attending school or have graduated and maintained a 2.5 grade-point-average in high school. Contestants must not have been convicted of any crime or have been expelled from school. Complete rules are on the application.
A club, organization or individual must sponsor contestants. Each contestant is responsible for finding her own sponsor and for submitting the sponsor’s fee of $300 at the Apricot Fiesta office by 7 p.m. on March 7..
