Stanislaus County residents age 60 and older may be nominated for the 2013 Senior Awards, which honor outstanding volunteer work in the areas of community service, humanitarianism, leadership, political advocacy and being a good neighbor.

The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors will recognize award recipients — one from each supervisor’s district — in May during Older Americans Month.

The achievement, accomplishment or service upon which the nomination is based must have taken place in Stanislaus County. Eligible work must be solely on a voluntary, unpaid basis.

Nomination forms are available at — and must be returned to — the Stanislaus County Area Agency on Aging, 121 Downey Ave., Ste. 102, Modesto, CA 95354.

The deadline for nominations is March 11.
