The holidays are drawing near, and the city of Patterson is just buzzing with activity. That can be a good thing, or a bad thing when you’re in my shoes.

There are many organizations, volunteers and helpful hands in our community, and they deserve recognition for their hard work and unselfish deeds.

And I would personally like to apologize if you were not featured in our paper this week, despite your heartwarming capabilities.

We sincerely would like to thank all of you involved for your help in making this Christmas season a joyous and wonderful holiday for all.

Due to our early deadline this week for Christmas, however, there are sure to be more holiday stories coming soon, such as the final tally of the Volunteer Firefighter Toy Drive, our local Coat Drives and the West Side Food Pantry’s Christmas basket blowout.

Your communal efforts will not go unnoticed, if I can help it.

If anyone would like to share their stories or holiday happenings, feel free to visit our office.

The next paper will be out the day after Christmas, Dec. 26, but until then, the Patterson Irrigator would like to wish everyone this holiday season a heartfelt Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday.
