The robberies include one late Monday, Sept. 3, at Best Western Villa Del Lago Inn in Patterson.
Robbers entered the local hotel, at 2959 Speno Drive just off Interstate 5, just before midnight, according to Patterson Sgt. John Walker. Three black men dressed in dark jackets and khaki pants allegedly went into the hotel lobby and demanded and received money from a female clerk before fleeing, Walker said.
Patterson deputies arrived at the hotel within a minute of the call, but the robbers were already gone, he said.
Local investigators were reviewing information and surveillance recordings Wednesday, Sept. 5, Walker said.
Meanwhile, Fresno County sheriff’s detectives were investigating two other hotel robberies that occurred late Monday. Investigators believe the same people are responsible for others that occurred during over labor day weekend in Coalinga, Fresno, Kingsburg and Santa Nella.
In Fresno at a Best Western on Best Western Lodge, located on the 46000 block of West Panoche Road, three masked robbers entered a hotel lobby and robbed a clerk at gunpoint. One of the robbers pistol-whipped the clerk before stealing several hundred dollars. They reportedly drove away in a small car, either white or silver in color.
The robbers in that robbery were described as two black males and one black female. All wore black clothing and masks, and at least one of the men was armed with a handgun.
Information on any of the weekend robberies can be reported to Patterson Police Services at 892-5071.
