To the response to County Supervisor Mr. Jim DeMartini regarding spending at the Housing Authority County of Stanislaus: shame, shame on you stating that "They are a federal program and they have their own board. We cannot influence their decisions. We have nothing to say about their guidelines."
Mr. DeMartini, you are the elected official of the County of Stanislaus that appoints the Board of Commissioners for the Housing Authority; I think you are sounding too much like the old government not to get involved.
This is our federal tax dollars at work, and I know I work hard for mine. Maybe the registered voters should be saying out with the old and in with the new.
