Students will keep busy with sporting events, dress-up days and a downtown parade next week as they commemorate Patterson High School’s homecoming festivities.

The PHS Tigers will meet the Pacheco High School Panthers of Los Banos a week from Friday at Patterson Community Stadium, culminating a week of activities with a “Music Artists” theme. Various homecoming events are scheduled for the week of Oct. 17 through 21.

• Monday: The Powder Puff game — an all-girls football clash — will begin at 7 p.m. at the stadium, Ward and Salado avenues. Admission is $1 with ASB punch and $2 without ASB punch or for students who do not attend PHS. Students should dress all day in mix-and-match attire.

• Tuesday: The Night Rally, a night of entertainment, dancing and cheering, will begin at 7 p.m. in the stadium, with $1 admission with ASB punch and $2 without ASB punch or for students who do not attend PHS. Students will dress as music artists during school hours.

• Wednesday: Students will dress up for disco day.

• Thursday: Homecoming volleyball and soccer games will be played at 4, 5 and 6 p.m. in the gym, 200 N. Seventh St., following a twin-themed dress-up day. The king and prince will be named at the volleyball game between the freshman and junior varsity games and between the JV and varsity games.

• Friday: A parade will begin at 12:15 p.m. at the school and wind through the downtown streets. Students will dress up for Tiger Pride Day. Football begins with a junior varsity game at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 7:30 p.m. The homecoming queen and princesses will be crowned that evening during the halftime of both games. The homecoming dance, in the gym, will follow the games. A small entry fee will be charged.
