Tony Azevedo

March 13, 1931 — Feb.14, 2014

A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, March 2 for Tony Azevedo, a resident of Wildomar, who died on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 2014 and will join his beloved wife Nancy in the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Mr. Azevedo was born March 13, 1931 in Patterson, to Joe V. and Maria Azevedo, early settlers of the town of Patterson.

Mr. Azevedo was a master jeweler for over 50 years and taught countless jewelers the trade throughout his career. His custom designs were often sold at the family jewelry store in Temecula. An artist and craftsman, Mr. Azevedo built numerous custom wood creations for his family and friends. He built a wood boat entirely by hand. Many of his wood creations are in homes around the Temecula Valley. He also loved guns, shooting guns and carving custom gun grips.

Mr. Azevedo married his wife, Nancy Ann Lynch in 1951. The couple had four children.

His brother, John Azevedo of Patterson; sons, Mike Azevedo of Temecula, Mark Azevedo of Las Vegas, Nevada, and John Azevedo of Wildomar; a daughter, Cindy Escobedo of Riverbank and his grandchildren, great-grand children and many nieces and nephews, survive him. His parents, three brothers and six sisters preceded Tony in death.

Services will be held at Damasco Fine Foods inside the Best Western Plus on 2959 Speno Drive in Patterson at 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, with a lunch and reception to immediately follow. Those who wish to send flowers in his honor, can send them directly to the restaurant.
