Two Patterson men were arrested Tuesday, Sept. 17 after a morning marijuana grow check that unveiled illegal guns and possession of psilocybin “psychedelic” mushrooms in south Patterson.

Patterson Police deputies arrested Scott Drummond, 24, of Patterson for possession of drugs and possession of illegal handguns and shotguns. Austin Lousignont, 24, of Patterson was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

Deputies first went to a residence on the 300 block of Poppy Avenue to check on what was believed to be a legal marijuana grow. As the deputies knocked on the door, a 17 year-old boy ran out a back door and another person threw the mushrooms out of a back room window into the yard, according to police reports.

Deputies obtained a search warrant that took most of the day and unveiled the illegal guns as well as found the psychedelic mushrooms in the yard. The 17 year-old boy was not arrested.
