Patterson’s Ted Young is the Week 4 winner of the Irrigator’s football contest. Young, Kathy Rickerson, Brenda Villafan , Gene Wheeland and Lee Willard all posted impressive 16-6 records, but Young’s tie-breaker score prediction was closest to the actual score of the tie-breaker game.

Dick Day, also of Patterson, won a free tool set from Workbench True Value Hardware with his tie-breaker prediction of Patterson defeating Escalon, 28-24, which was nearly accurate. The Tigers topped Escalon 27-24 last week.

Patterson's Chris Ruiz predicted the same tiebreaker score, but Day broke the tie by tallying the most correct picks on regular games for the week.

Entries are due at the Patterson Irrigator, 26 N. Third St., by 5 p.m. Friday, or must be postmarked by 5 p.m.

The football contest wraps up the weekend of Nov. 15.
