Jacob Priester, a former football standout at Patterson High, received honorable mention consideration from the Northwest Conference on Nov. 16.

A 6-foot-2 tight end at Linfield University in Oregon, Priester hauled in seven receptions and scored four touchdowns during the 2011 regular season.

In 2009, Priester was named to the Western Athletic Conference’s first team as an offensive lineman. In his senior season, he was selected to the WAC’s first team as a defensive end and to the league’s second team as a tight end. He was named the conference’s top defensive lineman and also earned an honorable mention as a defensive end on the all-district team.

Priester was a Scholar-Athlete award recipient and a Patterson High valedictorian, maintaining an overall 4.6 GPA.

Now a sophomore, Priester is studying pre-medicine.
