A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 14, for John Steve Ban of Crows Landing, who died Wednesday, March 7, at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.

Mr. Ban, 90, was a native of San Jose and a resident of Crows Landing for 47 years. He was a self-employed farmer for 60 years and a World War II Army veteran. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson.

Mr. Ban is survived by his wife, Nancy Ban of Crows Landing and brother, Anthony Ban of San Jose.

A visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., Patterson. Wednesday’s Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., Patterson. Burial will be private.

Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., is handling the arrangements.
