As a teacher for 10 years in the Patterson Joint Unified School District, I am hesitant to publicly comment on the operation of the school district. I would, however, like to thank the several members of the board of trustees who have spent hours of their time on our campuses, visiting in our classrooms, to gauge the level of discontent that exists regarding the performance of our superintendent. It is never easy, or pleasant, to acknowledge that a mistake may have been made in the selection of a superintendent by a board of trustees. For the sake of our students, that decision needed to be made. The members of the board listened, evaluated and acted. As an employee, I can ask no more.
