A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 28, for Joel Garcia of Patterson, who died Monday, Aug. 20, at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Mr. Garcia, 45, was a native of Lodi and a resident of Patterson for 20 years. He was a self-employed owner of an automotive shop for six years. He enjoyed golfing, baseball, softball and camping.
Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife, Dina Garcia of Patterson; son, Brandon Garcia of Patterson; daughter, Alexis Garcia of Patterson; brothers, Jesus Garcia, Jr. of Idaho, Macario Garcia of Reno, Nevada, John Garcia and George Garcia, both of Lodi, Jim Garcia of Galt, Javier Garcia of Lodi; sisters, Esmeralda Torres of Reno, Nevada, Elizabeth Ortaga, Enedelia Garcia, Alma Flores, Eliamar Maravilla, Emily West and Esther Montanez, all of Lodi. His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
A visitation will be observed from 5 top 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 27, at Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., in Patterson. Burial will be at Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Highway 33, Patterson.
