A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, Aug. 25, for Grady Wilson Bardwell of Patterson, who died Sunday, Aug. 19, at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Mr. Bardwell, 79, was a native of Galvez, La., nd was a resident of Patterson for 26 years. He was a lithographer for 40 years and a United States Army veteran, serving in the Korean War in the 5th Armored Division and the 71st Armored Field Artillery.
He enjoyed yard work, farming, building houses and other items, his animals and the ocean.
Mr. Bardwell is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Bardwell of Patterson; son, Daniel Bardwell and his wife, Rita, of Olivehurst; daughters, Dinah Kessler and Patricia Garcia and her husband, Adam, all of Patterson; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be observed from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug 25, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the Family Christian Center, 18 S. Sixth St., Patterson.
Burial will follow at Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Highway 33, Patterson.

Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., Patterson, is handling the arrangements.
