Patterson police deputies arrested two Patterson residents for auto theft when they responded to a disturbance at a residence on the 500 block of Amberina Drive.

Ricki Brunoni, 56, of Patterson and Kathy Rickerson, 51, of Patterson were both arrested on suspicion of auto theft Friday, Aug. 10, according to Patterson Police Sgt. John Walker.

Rickerson, a former live-in caretaker for an elderly woman at the residence, is accused of taking the maroon 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix of the elderly woman’s son with her boyfriend Brunoni the week before.

Rickerson had been kicked out of the residence and her employment suspended for having Brunoni live at the house when the car was missing. When Rickerson and Brunoni returned with the car deputies were called out to a disturbance at the residence with the new caretaker, the victim and Rickerson and Brunoni. Through investigation police discovered the keys to the car in the pocket of Brunoni, Walker said.
