Jennifer Bigham, 25, faces charges of first-degree murder, child abuse causing death and battery on a paramedic following the alleged drowning of her 3 year-old daughter, Alexandrea, on the 400 block of Thrush Drive on Jan. 14, 2010.
She was allegedly combative with paramedics after the girl’s death and had to be restrained on a stretcher.
She pleaded not guilty to all charges a week after the incident.
Tuesday’s hearing was delayed until Wednesday, Sept. 5, because the judge and lawyers received a report on Bigham’s mental state on Monday, Aug. 27, the night before the hearing.
She remains in the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, and her bail is set at $2 million.
