A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 11, for Micaela Magana, 81 of Patterson, who died Sunday, Oct. 7 at San Luis Convalescent Hospital in Newman.
Mrs. Magana, 81, was a native of Mexico and was a resident of Patterson for 42 years. She was a homemaker for 61 years and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. Mrs. Magana enjoyed gardening in her younger days and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Magana is survived by her sons, Oscar Magana of Modesto, Jesus Magana of San Francisco, Pedro Magana, Jr. and Roberto Magana both of Patterson; daughters, Reyna Gomez, Olga Villafana and Maria Rangel, all of Patterson, Guille Cordova of Escalon, Lilia Diaz of Illinois, Maria Perez of Patterson, Victoria Diaz of Ventura, Felicitas Magana of Mexico; brother, Santiago Diaz of Mexico; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Magana, who died in 2003.
A visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., in Patterson. The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Patterson District Cemetery, 10800 Highway 33, Patterson. .
