Los Banos won seven of the nine matches in straight sets.
The setback against the first-place Los Banos squad was not a surprise to Patterson coach Raustand Nzoule.
“Due to injuries and eligibility problems, our players have all moved up on the ladder, and most of them don’t have experience in those positions,” Nzoule said. “I’m very disappointed with the second leg of the season, but I believe there are better days ahead for us, as we are going to continue to work hard.”
At No. 1 singles, Los Banos gained a 6-2, 6-1 win, with Alexis Barvellos defeating Kelby Norfleet of Patterson.
Christina Soares bested Patterson’s Kendal Norfleet, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 singles.
Tiffany Luo followed with a straight-set win over Chanda Noynola, 6-0, 6-4, at No. 3 singles.

In the No. 5 singles match, Elena Erreca of Los Banos beat Avree Chaivez 6-1, 6-2, and at No. 6 singles, Melanie Silva topped Britnei Murray 7-5, 4-6, 6-4.
Los Banos’ No. 1 doubles team, Monique Arretche and Bianca Soares, opened up doubles play by defeating Lauren Cabonce and Victoria Paden, 6-0, 6-0.
At No. 2 doubles, Kelly Younce and Amanda Marchese beat Patterson’s Sandy Luo and Tonia Perez 6-1, 6-2.
