EDITOR,

Since we first met him in 2005, we have had the pleasure of working with Dennis McCord on a variety of church and community projects. He has helped raise funds for a wide range of community groups by organizing barbecue fundraisers. Some of these organizations include the Boy Scouts, Patterson Repertory Theatre, the Federated Church and Creekside Middle School’s trips to Washington, D.C.

For the past few years, he has worked diligently with the homeless ministry in our community — Helping Others Sleep Tonight (HOST).

Mr. McCord is a tireless hands-on organizer. He is a person we trust. If he says he’ll do something, you can take him at his word. This is why he will be getting our vote for City Council on Nov. 6.

Gordon and Nancy Barbosa, Patterson
