The scholarship will be awarded to a qualified student who is a California resident and will be a full-time junior or senior at a California university or college during the 2013-14 academic year.
Applicants must be pursing a degree in a field of study related to water resources. Those include such degrees as civil engineering, agriculture, urban water supply and environmental studies.
The Association of California Water Agencies gives out the award each year to a different member organization, which chooses a student recipient. This year, the Patterson Irrigation District is that organization.
Applications must be mailed to Patterson Irrigation District, c/o Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 685, Patterson, CA 95363, postmarked no later than Feb. 1.
