Each year during National Small Business Week, the agency recognizes outstanding small-business owners for their contribution to the American economy and society. The 2013 dates will be announced by President Barack Obama at a later time.
Trade associations, chambers of commerce and business organizations frequently sponsor candidates for the award. Business owners may nominate themselves or other candidates.
The Fresno SBA Office, which serves 15 counties of Central California, must receive nominations by Jan. 3.
