A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 21, for Thelma Hensen of Florida, who died Tuesday, Dec. 4, in Winter Haven, Fla.

Mrs. Hensen, 90, was a native of Shawnee, Okla. and was a resident of Florida for three years. She previously lived in Turlock since 1956, her and her husband, Lester Lee Hensen owned Les’s Upholstery and Drapery in Patterson for over 40 years. She enjoyed sewing and was a very talented seamstress, using those talents to make gifts for the church bazaars. Mrs. Hensen was a past member of Bethel Temple in Turlock for many years.

Mrs. Hensen is survived by her sons, Leroy Hensen of Winter Haven, Fla. and Ray Hensen of Turlock; 11 grandchildren, Dennis Hensen, Mark Hensen, Michael Hensen, Lori Hupping, Becky Hensen, Jennifer Smith, Vanessa Gomez, Erin Hensen, Jason Pelucca, Matt Pelucca, and Cathy Clark; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Lee Hensen, who died in 1992 and her brother, Lee Reavis.

Friday’s memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson. Burial will follow at Ceres Cemetery, 1801 E. Whitmore Ave.
