Katie Lynne Maring and Troy Matthew Shotwell were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Nov. 10, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. The Rev. Rex Hays officiated the ceremony.

Katie, the daughter of Jon and Tami Maring of Patterson, is a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Modesto and of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she was a member of the dance team. She works as a credit analyst at Yosemite Farm Credit in Modesto.

Troy is the son of Steve and Cindy Shotwell of Goleta. He is employed at Del Mar Farms in Patterson. Troy graduated from Dos Pueblos High in Goleta and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He played on the Cal Poly football team.

Katie’s sisters, Ali Wright and Kyndall Maring, both of Patterson, were her matron of honor and maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Audrey Maring, sister-in-law of the bride; Jena Brady, Mary Grzanich, Brooke Hurst and Holly Hurst, cousins of the bride; Alex Beltran, friend of the bride; and Danielle Shotwell and Vanessa Shotwell, sisters-in-law of the groom

Troy’s best man was his friend Jake West of Morro Bay. Groomsmen were Kyle Shotwell, Ryan Shotwell and Matthew Shotwell, brothers of the groom; Zach Maring, brother of the bride; Brian Wright, brother-in-law of the bride; Drake Crump, cousin of the groom; Mark Maring and Blake Hurst, cousins of the bride; and Matt Sullivan, friend of the groom.

Flower girls and ring bearers were Weston Wright, nephew of the bride and Laura Maring, Megan Brooks, Michael Brooks, John Maring, all cousins of the bride

A reception followed the ceremony at The River Mill in French Camp.

The couple took a one-week honeymoon to Whitehouse, Jamaica, before returning home to Patterson.
