Two events are planned — a free evening program for the community followed the next day by a daylong workshop for grief professionals and volunteers.
Emanuel Medical Center, a community-based, nonprofit Christian hospital in Turlock, is sponsoring the events.
The free community program will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 7, a Thursday, at Monte Vista Chapel, 1619 E. Monte Vista Ave., in Turlock. The program is designed for people who are grieving. The topic of the workshop — “Loving from the Outside In, Mourning from the Inside Out” — is also the title of Wolfelt’s book. Those who plan to attend can register by visiting www.griefcope.eventbrite.com or calling 664-2550.
The next day, Wolfelt will lead a training session for professionals and volunteers from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Larsa Banquet Hall at 2107 E. Monte Vista Ave. in Turlock.
Cost of the daylong training is $65, which includes a boxed lunch. Registration is required by Jan. 27 at www.griefcope.eventbrite.com, and Continuing Education Units are available.
