The Yosemite Community College Board of Trustees is seeking applications from qualified individuals interested in serving on the YCCD Measure E Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee.

Two-year terms are available for a senior citizen, a business representative, a student attending Modesto Junior College or Columbia College, and an at-large representative — anyone who resides in the college district.

The chancellor and members of the board of trustees will screen applications this month and make appointments in February or March.

The committee seeks to inform the public about the use of Measure E bond funds, review expenditures and prepare an annual report.

The $326.1 million bond measure was passed by voters in November 2004 to finance improvements at Columbia College and Modesto Junior College and to acquire land for possible college outreach sites.

Applications can be obtained at the Chancellor’s Office, 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Building 1200, Room 8, in Modesto; requested at 575-6509; or downloaded at www.yosemite.edu/bond/committee.

Applications will be accepted until enough qualified applicants are found.

For information: Nick Stavrianoudakis, director of public affairs, 575-6959.
