Patterson’s downtown museum in the Center Building is expanding the hours it is open beginning Saturday, Feb. 2.

Curator Ron Swift reports that the museum will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. For the past several months, the museum has been open two hours on weekday afternoons.

Also this Saturday, a short training session is planned for volunteer docents. It will begin at 2 p.m. The docents will be asked to volunteer one Saturday every two months.

The museum is operated by the Patterson Township Historical Society and tells the story of Patterson’s founding.
