When: 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12
Where: Patterson City Council Chambers, 1 Plaza, Patterson
Who: Mayor Luis Molina and the entire City Council. The event is open to the public.
Mayor Luis Molina will give his annual State of the City address at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 in the Patterson City Council Chambers.
Members of the public are invited to attend the State of the City speech, which is expected to touch on the condition of the education, public safety and business and employment sectors of the city.
After the speech, there will be a time for questions and comments from the public, followed by a verbal report from city staff about the status of Patterson's future homeless shelter.
Tuesday's open session will follow a special closed session of the Patterson City Council at 6 p.m. At that time, the council will discuss anticipated litigation regarding an undisclosed matter as well as property negotiations for two parcels at Ward Avenue and Ninth Street across from Patterson High School.
The properties being discussed are slated to house a 154-unit town home and apartment complex. Ted Borns, one of the property owners, said last month that he and his partners with Thrust Properties LLC had not decided whether to sell the land or develop it.
Tuesday's agenda indicates that Thrust Properties and the city manager are to discuss the price and terms of payment with a real property negotiator.
