I am writing to raise awareness about the trash service in the city of Patterson. The city contract requires that no work begin before 6 a.m. For the year and a half that I have lived in Patterson, the trash trucks start as early as 2:30 a.m., waking residents and annoying those who are trying to sleep.
I have spoken to the city about this multiple times, and so far no more than a phone call or two has been made. I have spoken with Public Works Management Analyst Monica Sandoval at Patterson City Hall and have been informed that they have been unable to prove this at this time.
So, I have been getting up when I hear the trash truck come into town. This morning, Thursday, Feb. 7, it was at 2:50 a.m. I have been taking pictures of both the trash truck operating and the trash barrels that are already emptied. I would very much like for others to call the city of Patterson at 895-8068 and report to Sandoval any sightings of Bertolotti trucks in the city of Patterson before 6 a.m.
