Members of the public are invited to give input on the Patterson Unified School District’s 10-year master plan when the board meets next week.
The board will consider input from the public and from school administrators concerning plans for local schools in the next 10 years. The board has been working during the past six months with Mark Wheeler, manager of facilities and construction, on a draft master plan for modernization of local schools, as well as new facilities.
Representatives from Jack Schreder & Associates, a consultant firm hired by the district, will give an overview of current enrollment, district facilities and possible commercial and industrial development in Patterson. The school board will then discuss and prioritize the recommendations and proposed improvement projects.
The board will also field public comments on the state’s statutory fees, which schools can charge for residential and commercial construction.
