SLV adult coed softball champions crowned

In the A-League championship game Nov. 9 at Highlands Park, the Steelheads, sponsored by Brookdale Inn and Spa, defeated Mt. Hermon, sponsored by Mt. Hermon Christian Camps and Conference Center, 13-8 to capture the coed fall championship.

The B-League championship game was decided Nov. 9 when the Sandbaggers defeated the Coyotes, 13-6.

The league will start up again in the spring.

SLV girls softball registration

Registration for the San Lorenzo Valley girls softball league will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Ben Lomond fire station, 9430 Highway 9.

A copy of each player’s birth certificate is required to register.

Scotts Valley doubles pair falls in finals

The Scotts Valley High doubles team of Capella Yee and Caroline Sayer fell in three sets to the Santa Cruz High duo of Amber Pipa and Suzanna Wong 7-6, (7-5), 6-2.

The Scotts Valley duo defeated teams from San Lorenzo Valley and Aptos to get to the final.
