A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 4, for Lorenzo Manuel Mendez of Patterson, who died Monday, Feb. 25, at St Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton.

Mr. Mendez, 67, was a native of Juarez, Mexico, and was a resident of Patterson for 43 years. He was a laborer for 14 years, a welder for 15 years and a D.J. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson and Friends of the Church.

Mr. Mendez is survived by his wife, Teresita Mendez of Patterson; daughters, Eva Marie Mendez of Patterson and Linda I. Flores of Stockton; sisters, Delia Mendez of Los Angeles and Hilda Rubio of El Paso, Texas and 6 grandchildren.

A visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson. A second visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Monday, March 4, at the chapel, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St., Patterson.
