Sarah, the 14-year old daughter of Ann Truxton of Patterson and Stephen Truxton of Sacramento, will travel to the State Capitol in March to receive her awards: a medal, an e-reader and $100 worth of classroom agriculture materials for her teacher, Judee Sani.
Sarah’s story, “The Tomato’s Charade,” tells the tale of the town of Veggie Ville, where everyone loves vegetables. Then townsfolk find out all about tomatoes, and that changes things a bit.
