I have noticed that in my gated community, Reflections, that there have been too many people speeding around when children are playing.
Now, I know kids really shouldn’t play in the street, but I, along with my friends, skateboard in the street to avoid hitting people who use the sidewalk. We have installed speed bumps, but there are either not enough of them or they are not tall enough.
What if someone is walking to his or her friend’s house and a driver is going above the speed limit and accidentally hits the person?
We either need to make the speed bumps higher, put in more of them, or enforce the speed limit more.
