TID staff members will sell trees for $20 each, including a planting kit. Cash and checks will be accepted.
Trees are available only to TID residential electric customers who want to plant shade trees on the south, east or west sides of their homes. The person buying the tree must be the homeowner.
Each household is limited to two trees.
An application must be filled out before trees can be purchased. The application and guidelines can be found on the TID website, http://tid.com/shade-tree.
A list of tree types is also available online.
The estimated retail value of a tree and kit is $68.
