A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, for Antonio “Tony” Durao of Crows Landing, who died Thursday, March 14, at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.

Mr. Durao, 90, was a native of Herber was a resident of Crows Landing for 74 years. He was a self-employed farmer for 70 years and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Patterson. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Crows Landing Lions Club and Knights of Columbus in Patterson. Mr. Durao enjoyed traveling and genealogy.

Mr. Durao is survived by his son, Frank Durao of Crows Landing; daughters, Rebecca McBride and Serena Jenkins, both of Modesto and three grandchildren, Colin McBride, Katie McBride and Megan McBride. His wife, Mary “Vicki” Durao, and three sisters preceded him in death.

A visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 22, followed by a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 529 I St. in Patterson. Burial will be private. .
