Auxiliary luncheon open to community

The Elijah B. Hayes American legion Auxiliary Unit No. 168 will host its annual Girls State Luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, at the Patterson High School cafeteria, 200 N. Seventh St. Community members are invited.

A silent auction and a prize drawing for a Kindle Fire HD are on tap.

Luncheon tickets are $15, and prize drawing tickets are $10 each.

Proceeds will cover registration and transportation costs for the local 2013 Girls State delegate.

Tickets can be purchased from Janie Quiroba or Amy Hussar, the Girls State committee chairwoman.
