Local woman hosts Saturday book launch

Rhonda Stoppe, a local mother, grandmother, pastor’s wife and speaker, will host a book signing and tea at First Baptist Church, 124 S. Del Puerto Ave., at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23.

Stoppe welcomes anyone who wishes to attend to celebrate her book, “Moms Raising Sons to be Men,” published March 1 by Harvest House.

She is selling copies of the book, which is listed at $12.99 , for $10 e ach during the event.

Stoppe raised two sons and two daughters with her husband, Steve Stoppe, the pastor of First Baptist Church.

Her book includes ways to communicate and tips on how to guide a son without smothering him. The book, filled with references to biblical scripture, also includes advice from parenting experts and other mothers of sons.
